It has no carb, so you hold it upright and draw from the narrow end.

How to pack and use
- Grind flower to a coarse cut.
- Drop a screen into the bowl if the hole is wide.
- Fill the bowl to the top and press with light force. Air must move through the shaft.
- Hold the chillum upright. Wrap two fingers around the body and keep your thumb near the bowl to cut the burn.
- Put the narrow end in your mouth and draw slow, like a straw.
- Wait 10 to 15 minutes before you load a second bowl.

Cleaning
Resin builds up in the shaft and the bowl. Soak the chillum in 91% isopropyl alcohol for 30 minutes. Add coarse salt for glass pieces. Rinse with warm water and dry for 1 hour. Clean after 5 to 10 sessions. A clogged shaft pulls hot air and burns the flower.
Rules and ID
You must be 21 or older to buy at a licensed US dispensary. Bring a state ID, a driver's license, or a passport. Some states list pipes as drug paraphernalia and set their own sale rules. Most recreational states allow chillums as accessories. Federal law still bans cannabis, so check your state before you shop.
Health notes
Burned plant matter carries irritants. A chillum holds no water, so the smoke hits warm and unfiltered. The CDC reports that cannabis smoke can irritate the lungs. NIDA reports that marijuana smoke contains many of the same chemicals found in tobacco smoke. Stop and seek medical help if you have chest pain or trouble breathing.
